Looking for a mentor on the beach

Hi, I’m brand new to bee keeping and need some advice on where to place my hives. I know facing the hives to the south is optimal. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

set your hives facing south or southeast to receive the most sunlight, early morning sun is best, not too much shade, near windbreaks, elevate hives at least 12 inches this helps with moisture and pests, level your hives (front should be slightly lower to allow water runoff) and space them apart to allow you to be able to work them

Thank you for this! I've been unable to attend the meetings, but would like to connect with you all. Just about got scammed (I think) from Bees Heaven on Facebook saying their pickup is in Duck...but I'm looking at your website for actual recommended nuc sellers and planning to go through Nadeau Farms instead. Any advice for my first hive appreciated.

I think it was a great discussion about beekeeping especially for our newbees😁.
